Why ‘Different Here’ Is More Than a Motto | It’s a Competitive Mindset

If you are currently partnering with a Managed Services Provider (MSP) what kind of presence do they have? COVID helped highlight something Auxzillium has known for a long time; most IT support can be handled remotely. In other words, the requirement for an MSP to have locations that are geographically broad is unnecessary. In fact, MSPs with such a presence employ staff from all over the world to provide day-to-day support activities. One of the defining characteristics of Auxzillium has been our ability to provide support 24×7 on both coasts and abroad since our infancy. Yes, right from Boston!


I can remember a conversation I had with a client over 10 years ago. After our meeting, we were talking in the hallway of their building, and they mentioned the benefits of being able to pick up the phone and get to the “the guy at the top”. There wasn’t a Wizard of OZ hiding behind a curtain somewhere with a handful of gatekeepers to get through. That isn’t the case when working with a national MSP. 


While national competitors may have a larger presence, in today’s world the geographical gaps have been bridged by strategic partnerships with trusted vendors and the need to “setup shop elsewhere” has become archaic. 


Often, the number of staff and by consequence the level of experience is broad. This provides tremendous value until the level of turnover is exposed and the person you built a professional relationship with departs. We have had more than one discussion with prospective clients who have never gone out of their way to express this. The negative impact this has on the support experience and the trust the client had and must now put into a new provider is heavily impacted.


For many national MSPs, the client may be told they possess value and are more than a monthly source of income. However, the salespeople telling you this and the staff doing the work play for entirely different teams. The CEO at Auxzillium has often said: “Auxzillium grows when our clients grow.” That statement reinforces the inherent value each client has to the success of our business.


That value trickles down throughout the entire company and manifests itself in a team comprised of administrative staff, sales, and technology professionals. Everyone on the team shares the same vision. Auxzillium has always been about driving innovation, working efficiently, enhancing the delivery of support services, and not only keeping staff happy but motivated. 


As the Celtics embark on their journey to Banner 19 the battle cry from the 2023-2024 championship season has always rung true at Auxzillium “Different Here”.
